I visited Crèche Farah Day Care which was a local pre-school for around 15 children aged from 6-8 years old. This was an Arabic speaking school so the teachers were translating to the children and myself. I explained to the children the importance of using mouthwash between brushing and not directly after brushing. As the children were very small I left information booklets for the children’s parents so my education would be delivered.
That same day I also visited an orphanage for young babies and children. They provide for a range of children of all ages and I brought my own three children along with me as I strongly believe it is important for children to understand how privileged their lives are in comparison to those less fortunate. The orphanage had babies there who had come from the streets, being dumped in waste bins and found by the general public or being born disabled and not being wanted by their parents and left at the door of the orphanage.
